Planning my sound

  1. I’m learning toward interview/conversational because I want the podcast to be about bringing people together because I think they should meet each other.
  2. I believe it will start with an introductory essay on a theme that connects with the people I’ll be inviting into the conversation. Then move into the conversation. I’d like to end with some lessons from the episode and/or rapid questions and/or recommendations about who to introduce to someone next.
  3. I suspect my tone will be authentic, a little rough around the edges, and enthusiastic. Light and excited to eavesdrop on a (first) conversation between people.
  4. Bright and breezy: Ketsa on the FMA is getting my attention at this point.
  5. Sound effects are really not my thing, so I’ll be avoiding exploring that option unless someone presents a strong argument that I need it.

  1. I like the idea of a podcast as a series of introductory conversations, Chris — that’s a really neat idea, and not something I have heard explored elsewhere. And I think that musical vibe is the exact right choice!
